Remote Vacancy.
Online programming school Hexlet is looking for a Head of Marketing.
Hexlet is an educational platform with a rich 13-year history, tens of thousands of graduates, and a large community that helps people develop systematically and build IT careers in the AI era.
They are looking for a player-coach to join the team – a leader who not only builds strategy and manages the team but is also ready to personally dive into marketing, launch projects, create hypotheses, test new tools, and set an example for their people. This is not a position for someone who manages solely through meetings, contractors, and reports. They need a leader who can work hands-on, make quick decisions, and achieve measurable results together with the team.
The company is building one of the strongest educational companies in the IT sector and is currently rethinking marketing in the AI era. Therefore, they are looking for an A-level player who will help make Hexlet one of the most recognizable and effective EdTech brands on the market.
What you will be doing:
You will be responsible for the development of all of Hexlet's marketing:
- Development and implementation of marketing strategy;
- Growth in the number of quality leads and revenue;
- Development of the Hexlet brand;
- Systematic development of SEO and increase in organic traffic in priority areas;
- Building content marketing as a promising growth channel;
- Development of social networks, Telegram, Instagram, YouTube, and community;
- Launching new acquisition channels and constant hypothesis testing;
- Implementation of AI in the team's daily work;
- Management of the marketing team and contractors;
- Collaboration with product, sales, and founders.
What is important:
- They are looking for a person who aligns not only professionally but also in terms of values;
- A-level player: you don't wait for tasks. You find opportunities yourself, formulate hypotheses, and bring them to fruition. If something doesn't work, you don't look for culprits, but change your approach;
- Leader: you know how to build a strong team. You can inspire people, make tough decisions, and take responsibility;
- AI Native: AI is an integral part of your professional toolkit. You work daily with LLMs, agents, and automations, and can accelerate yourself and your team multiple times;
- If marketing can be automated, you already know how;
- Content marketing: the team believes that the future of marketing lies in expert content.
Therefore, they need someone who understands:
- How media is built;
- How Telegram is developed;
- How YouTube and Shorts work;
- How SEO is built today;
- How to create content that brings in customers, not just views;
- SMM: they are looking for someone who understands modern social networks. Knows how to build a content system around the brand;
- Experience in EdTech;
- Experience in educational companies or SaaS products with a complex sales cycle will be a big advantage;
- You understand the specifics of decision-making in education and know how to work with a long funnel;
- They value people they can trust.
What they offer:
- The opportunity to develop the marketing for one of Russia's most well-known IT schools;
- Direct work with the company's founders;
- Freedom to make decisions and influence business strategy;
- A strong product and development team;
- The opportunity to implement the most modern AI tools;
- Fast experiments without excessive bureaucracy;
- Competitive salary – fixed part + performance bonus. The exact income level will be discussed individually based on the interview results, considering your experience, competencies, and contribution to the company's development.
How to understand if you are a good fit:
You regularly ask yourself questions like:
- How can marketing be made 10 times more effective with AI?
- Why isn't this content generating sales?
- Which channels will work in two years?
- What can be automated today?
- How to build a brand that will become a market leader?
Ideal candidate profile:
To be completely honest, they are looking for someone at approximately this level:
- Has already managed marketing in an EdTech, IT, or SaaS company;
- Can create strong content themselves and understands how to turn it into a revenue stream;
- Has an excellent grasp of Telegram, YouTube, LinkedIn, SEO, and modern media;
- Uses Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, AI agents, and automations daily;
- Thinks in numbers: CAC, LTV, ROMI, SQL, conversions, cohort analysis are working tools for them;
- Enjoys launching experiments quickly;
- Can become not just a Head of Marketing, but the company's future CMO.
