Category Manager for the Telecom Category (3P direction)
Yandex Market is a rapidly developing marketplace, one of the leaders in the e-commerce market. And the commercial department is the heart of e-commerce at Yandex.
Each of our managers develops a specific category and is responsible for its profitability. We work in a startup atmosphere that allows us to initiate and implement complex projects aimed at growing GMV.
We are looking for a category manager who will develop the 3P direction in the categories of smartphones, smartwatches, headphones, mobile communications and others.
Assortment development You will form and maintain the target product matrix of the category, taking into account the business strategy and current priorities, identify leading brands and product lines to increase sales, prepare substantiated proposals for assortment expansion, introduction of new SKUs and phasing out unprofitable items, regularly analyze market dynamics, customer needs and competitive assortment for quick matrix adaptation, plan and implement measures aimed at increasing turnover, depth of choice and attractiveness of the assortment, and also control the timeliness and completeness of seasonal and current purchases to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize out of stock.
Commercial work with partners Your area of responsibility will include conducting negotiations with partners and vendors to achieve optimal commercial terms, obtain bonuses and marketing support, coordinate conditions for conducting promotions, promotional campaigns and special offers to increase GMV and category attractiveness. You will help partners fulfill obligations regarding assortment, pricing and stock availability, search for and attract new partners to expand the base and cover assortment gaps, build and develop long-term partnerships, including regular communication, analysis of cooperation potential and implementation of improvements.
Category budget management You will formulate proposals for allocating the budget for promotions, marketing and assortment development within established limits, control the efficiency of budget use, prepare analytics and reports for the manager, and seek opportunities to optimize expenses without losing the quality of category development and customer proposition.
Implementation of marketing and trade activities Together with the trade marketing team, you will participate in planning, launching and supporting marketing and trade campaigns to increase sales and the category's market share, coordinate work with related departments (marketing, trade marketing, content) for high-quality implementation of activities, and participate in evaluating the results of conducted promotions and activities, as well as prepare conclusions and recommendations for further improving effectiveness.
Performance metric management You will conduct regular monitoring and in-depth analysis of key category KPIs (GMV, CR, CTR, PI, TM, UE) with identification of the causes of deviations, prepare analytical materials and reports with clear conclusions and proposals for the manager and team, and initiate the implementation of measures to improve operational metrics and achieve established goals.
