The VostGOK (Eastern Mining Company) is looking for an IT Infrastructure and Production Automation Director.
VostGOK is one of Russia's largest coal producers with assets in Sakhalin. The company is involved in the extraction, processing, and export of coal products, primarily supplying them to the Asia-Pacific markets — to China, Japan, South Korea, and other countries.

You will be responsible for the foundation upon which the company's entire digitalization rests. The seamless operation of production 24/7, the quality of data for AI, and the stability of systems on thousands of sensors installed on equipment will depend on your work. The role involves strategic influence on the business and leadership of a large engineering block.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Defining and implementing the IT function development strategy for the Group, ensuring its alignment with business goals and digital transformation objectives
- Forming a unified architecture of corporate information systems, data, integrations, and technological platforms, including ACS TP (Industrial Control Systems) and industrial networks
- Ensuring uninterrupted, secure, and fault-tolerant operation of IT infrastructure, services, and systems across all sites: offices, production facilities, and remote locations (24/7)
- Managing the operation and development of industrial automation (SCADA, PLC, industrial networks, telemetry) and low-current complexes
- Ensuring the stability of the sensor fleet on equipment (several thousand units): monitoring status, diagnosing failures, planning replacements, minimizing downtime, and ensuring uninterrupted data transmission for production management AI models
- Managing the IT project portfolio and CAPEX/OPEX budgets, modernization, migrations, and standardization of the IT landscape
- Leading the IT Operations, ACS TP, and Technical Support teams, developing competencies, and managing contractors and suppliers
- Acting as a strategic business partner: searching for and implementing technological solutions that enhance process efficiency and company competitiveness
Candidate expectations:
- Experience managing IT operations/infrastructure in a manufacturing company (industry, mining, energy, transport, large-scale logistics)
- Practical background in infrastructure: networks, servers, virtualization, workstations, communications, monitoring, service processes
- Understanding of ACS TP/OT specifics and IT-production interaction: SCADA, PLC, industrial networks, telemetry, GPS/GLONASS
- Experience with distributed infrastructure and remote facilities, including in conditions of unstable communication (marine, remote areas)
- Experience operating telemetry systems with a large number of sensors (hundreds/thousands), including managing their lifecycle and ensuring fault-tolerant data collection
